Angela Lansbury will host JUMP FOR JOY A Dance Variety Spectacular - Career Transition For Dancers' 27th Anniversary Jubilee on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 7:00 pm at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6th and 7th Ave) NYC. The show is produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo, presented by Rolex, and will be followed by a supper at The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York.

Angela Lansbury has enjoyed a career spanning more than half a century as a movie star, a 4-time Tony Award-winning musical actress, and star of Murder, She Wrote, the longest running detective drama series in television history.

Contracted by MGM as a teenager, she was nominated for an Academy Award for her first film, Gaslight and the following year was again nominated for The Picture of Dorian Gray, winning a Golden Globe Award. She has appeared in over 40 motion pictures. Angela Lansbury made her Broadway debut in Hotel Paradiso and followed in A Taste of Honey later starring in her first musical, Anyone Can Whistle. She triumphed as Mame earning her the first of her unprecedented 4 Tony Awards as Best Actress in a Musical (Dear World, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd). She also starred in a limited engagement of The King and I. She returned to Broadway in Deuce receiving a Tony nomination for Best Actress and later in Blithe Spirit. She has hosted (or co-hosted) more Tony Awards telecasts than any other individual. For 12 seasons she starred as Jessica Fletcher on Murder, She Wrote. She is in the Theatre Hall of Fame; received the Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts; named a Commander of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II; member of the T.V. Hall of Fame; recipient of a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement award; nominated for 18 Emmy Awards. She has won 6 Golden Globe Awards and nominated for an additional 8; presented with the National Medal of the Arts and a recipient of a Kennedy Center Honor.
