BALLROOM WITH A TWIST Plays San Francisco, Now thru 7/29

Ballroom with a Twist, a brand new theatrical dance production, comes to San Francisco's Marines' Memorial Theatre (609 Sutter St., 2nd floor) for 12 performances only beginning tonight, July 12, 2012. Ballroom with a Twist was conceived and choreographed by EMMY Award-nominated Louis Van Amstel, a "Dancing with the Stars" pro dancer. Featuring a frenzy of sizzling performances by some of your favorite performers from "Dancing with the Stars," "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Idol," Ballroom with a Twist is an extravagant evening for the entire family that pushes the boundaries of classic ballroom dance, infusing it with the energy and intensity of the latest contemporary and hip-hop styles.

For July 12 – 15, Ballroom with a Twist will feature "Dancing with the Stars'" celebrity pro dancers Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya. For July 26-29, Ballroom with a Twist will feature "Dancing with the Stars" celebrity pro dancers Peta Murgatroyd (winner of Season 14) and Dmitry Chaplin. Also featured in the cast are Allen Genkin and Alla Kocherga("Dancing with the Stars" Ballroom Battle Winners), Randi Lynn Strong ("So You Think You Can Dance" Season 5), Jonathan Platero ("So You Think You Can Dance" Season 5), Tadd Gadduang ("So You Think You Can Dance" Season 8). "American Idol" alums David Hernandez (Season 7) and Gina Glockson (Season 6) will provide the soundtrack for the evening.

Ballroom with a Twist will play for 12 performances only at San Francisco's Marines' Memorial Theatre (609 Sutter St., 2nd floor).
