Heaven~Earth~One, a new site-specific aerial dance work from Blue Lapis Light will play September 9-19, 2012, at The Long Center for the Performing Arts City Terrace (701 Riverside Drive, Austin, TX 78704).
Heaven-Earth-One is a site-specific aerial dance performance that carries the audience on a visual journey of transcendence. This piece features dancers on the terrace ring, columns, aerial silks, zip lines and plaza of the Long Center’s City Terrace. Zip lines stretch from the roof of the theatre down to the terrace ring, allowing dancers to descend over the heads of the audience. The beautiful Austin nighttime skyline serves as the backdrop for this mesmerizing show. Using aerial techniques informed by classical, interpretive and modern dance, Blue Lapis Light challenges physical limitations and inspires our audiences with a sense of wonder.
The performance on Sunday, September 9th is Pay-What-You-Choose Night and will start at 10pm, and on Tuesday, September 11th, the show will feature a pre-show musical performance from Mother Falcon at 8:15pm. All performances in the regular run play 9:00-10:00pm.
