Company XIV Presents LA FETE World Premiere, 10/31-12/9

Company XIV presents the World Premiere of La Fête, directed and choreographed by Austin McCormick, with text written by Jeff Takacs. La Fête runs from October 31 to December 9, 2012 in a limited six-week engagement at the 303 Bond Street Theatre, located at 303 Bond Street, between Union & Sackett in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Previews begin October 31 for a November 4 opening.

Performances are Thursdays – Sundays at 8pm with an added Halloween show on Wednesday, October 31 at 8pm. There is no performance on Thursday, November 22. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online at CompanyXIVLaFete.Eventbrite.com. Due to the adult nature of the show no one under 16 will be admitted. The running time is 90 minutes. The space is accessible from the F or G train to Carroll Street or the R to Union Street. For more information visit www.CompanyXIV.com.

If Clue was set in a Brooklyn loft space inhabited by beings caught between the court of Louis XIV and the runways of New York Fashion Week, you might just begin to get a taste of what is to come in Company XIV’s newest theatrical/dance event La Fête. Directed and choreographed by Austin McCormick, La Fête is a deliciously decadent murderous masquerade where the audience becomes the privileged guests at a depraved and debaucherous fête, where intrigue lies around every twist and turn, and no one is who they really seem.

This neo-Baroque entertainment features live music by Beatbox Guitar, opera singer Brett Umlauf, accordionist Raphael Fusco and torch singer Shien Lee. The performers include Marisol Cabrera, Laura Careless, Raphael Fusco, Sean Gannon, Steven Trumon Gray, Lea Helle, Shien Lee, Pete List, Rob Mastriani, Lauren Muraski, Cailan Orn, Jeff Sykes, Jeff Takacs and Austin Tyson.

The design team includes Zane Pihlstrom (Set & Costume Design), Jeanette Yew (Lighting Design) and Corey Tatarczuk (Projection Design).
