Dancing Wheels Company & School is one of six finalists in the running for a grant worth up to $150,000 from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. Cuyahoga County residents, 13 years and older, can vote for three of the six finalists and the top two will have their projects funded by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.

Daring to be Dumbo - Dancing Wheels and their project partners will be expanding on the world premiere performance of their multi-media ballet Dumbo (May 9-10, 2013) to create an entertaining and educational television documentary based on the issues of bullying and social injustice. Using the life stories of artists and community figures, they will explain how these individuals rose above the ridicule to become successful. Dancing Wheels will then develop an assembly program for schools and community groups throughout Cuyahoga County and the nation. You can learn more about their project at dancingwheels.org/news1.asp.

To vote online for their project Daring to be Dumbo, go to www.cacgrants.org/vote. February 20, 2013 is your last day to cast your vote online.
