Diablo Ballet of California has become the first professional dance company to open all of its Pinterest photo boards to dance fans around the nation and the world.

On Wednesday, September 26, the Company began offering individuals the opportunity to add their own dance related photos to any of Diablo Ballet's 25 Pinterest boards.

Pinterest is an internet photo sharing website, which is used by over 4 million world-wide users each day. Individuals can create their own boards, where they pin related photos and share with everyone.

Dance fans from all over the world are now able to share their photos on any of Diablo Ballet Pinterest boards. The topics of boards range from dance legends such as Mikhail Baryshnikov, to do-it-yourself dance crafts and famous celebrities who like to dance.

Proving the international appeal of dance, Diablo Ballet's first guest pinner to join was Ballet Rawanda.

“We’re thrilled to break new ground in social media,” said Dan Meagher, Director of Marketing for Diablo Ballet. “ This is a fabulous way for dance fans from all over the world to engage with each other, which proves that dance is indeed an international language.”

You may find Diablo Ballet’s Pinterest page by visiting www.Pinterest.com and searching “Diablo Ballet.” Then, select the board named “Make Me a Pinner,” and enter the Diablo Ballet boards you wish to pin to. You will receive a conformation email when you have been confirmed to pin.

For 19 years, Diablo Ballet has been the award-winning professional dance company of California’s Contra Costa county, bringing programs featuring classical dance works as well as world premieres. For more information, visit www.DiabloBallet.org.
