Next week, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company presents its Fall 2012 season, featuring the world premiere of Transparent Things (Working Title). Set to Debussy's "String Quartet in G Minor" - which will be performed live by the Bryant Park Quartet - the new work is inspired by Picasso's iconic 1905 painting, "Famille de Saltimbanques."
The program also includes Crisis Variations (for which Lubovitch was awarded the 2012 Benois de la Danse Prize at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow earlier this year, and his highly kinetic 2010 dance The Legend of Ten.
Florence Gould Hall at the French Institute/Alliance Française is located at 55 East 59th Street between Madison and Park Avenues. The production plays November 14-18: Wednesday, November 14: 7pm, Thursday-Saturday, November 15-17: 8pm and Sunday, November 18: 3pm matinee.
