Seattle Theatre Group in partnership with EMP Museum is connecting to dance in a way never before envisioned. In celebration of STG's 15th Annual Dance This program, the public is invited to Kinecting to Dance, a fun-filled, family-friendly event, featuring Microsoft's Xbox 360's controller-less Kinect device dance competition games (i.e. Dance Central, Just Dance, etc.), tonight, July 12th at EMP Sky Church, 7:00-11:00 PM.

Hosted by DANCE This and MTV's America's Best Dance Crew alum, Massive Monkees, this dance event will allow participants to challenge each other while watching the action unfold on the Sky Church's enormous HD LED screen. A live dee-jay, a mini-workshop led by Massive Monkees, and dance competitions among the Dance This dance crew will make for an exciting night of celebration and moves.

To keep the dancing going all night, food trucks will be outside and inside the venue, Adult and non-adult beverages will be available at a cash bar. Finally, the event is free and open to the public, offering all the perfect ingredients to get Seattle on its feet.

For 15 years, Seattle Theatre Group has been bringing teen performers from diverse communities together for a collaborative experience to share culture through the art of dance. The Dance This performance features young local dancers in collaboration with professional artists, from around the country, performing dances from across cultures-both traditionally rooted and contemporary in form, and has become a signature program snugly embraced by the entire community. Audiences experience the rich cultural traditions and artistic talent of teens in the region while also getting a glimpse of professional experiences to which many of the young performers aspire.

This year's 15th Annual Dance This line-up features the diversity of 8 Flavahz (runners up on MTV's Season 8 America's Best Dance Crew), Jamel Gaines & Creative Outlet Dance Theatre of Brooklyn, two dance numbers from the Broadway musical Evita, staged with local dancers, by Evita dance captain, Jeannie Ford. Additionally, hometown breakout choreographer Amy O'Neal, performing with DANCE This alums, a local favorite NW Tap Connection, Pacific Ballroom, Morning Star Korean Dance,Slieveloughane Irish Dance Company, and the UW Bollywood Kahaani Dance Team, will all also perform in this year's production. The Dance This performance will be on Saturday, July 13th @ 7:30PM at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets are on sale HERE.

Discounted tickets will be available on site, exciting giveaways, and more. For more info on DANCE This visit www.stgpresents.org.
