Shaping Sound, a new contemporary dance company, announces the 2013 dates for its first national tour. Emmy-nominated choreographers and dance visionaries Travis Wall, Nick Lazzarini, Teddy Forance and Kyle Robinson, will take the stage with ten world-class dancers to premiere a synergy of Sight, Sound, and movement. Company members have been featured on "So You Think You Can Dance", "Dancing With The Stars," and toured internationally with recording artists and award-winning dance companies.

The 13-city tour, scheduled to kick-off May 18 in Los Angeles, will spend one night in Canada and will conclude on June 17 in New York. Tickets for all shows are on sale at box offices across the country, visit www.shapingsoundco.com to purchase and for group sale information.

The creation of Shaping Sound was chronicled on the television show "All The Right Moves" on Oxygen, which brought viewers inside the lives of four of the most successful and sought-after dancers in the industry. Shaping Sound is a collaboration of these artists and visual musicians who dreamed about creating opportunities for contemporary performers. The company is dedicated to serving as role models for young dancers and will host workshops in every tour city for advanced dancers ages 13 and up, to register visit http://shapingsoundco.com/theworkshop.

Shaping Sound's movement style provides its audiences access to and an understanding of contemporary dance through its unique fusion of jazz, modern, ballet, and explosive hip-hop choreography. The integration of traditional technique alongside cutting-edge dance styles brings an unparalleled entertainment value to ensemble performances. With a dynamic mix of rhythm, emotion, and athleticism, audiences can expect original choreography and freestyle movements that challenges the art form.
