Teatro LATEA and Howling Moon Cab Company's world premier of Tango Fever opened with a smashing success. The cast electrified audiences with its dance numbers. Tango Fever is tale of lust, infidelity, seduction and the quest for passion, set in a tango dance studio. Experience the world of tango, the captivating dance numbers and physical drama. Feel the magic of an international professional cast of characters in a tale that mirrors real life experiences...as a woman desperately seeking passion in her life returns to tango dancing. Follow the sensuality of the dance as legs are interlaced, heels kicked up and calves caressed. The emotional texture of tango and seductive relationships bring about unexpected complications for the woman and the other studio dancers.
Tango Fever opened Wednesday, September 19th and runs until October 7th at Teatro LATEA on New York's Trendy Lower East Side (107 Suffolk Street at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center). Meri Wallace, a modern multi-faceted woman, a nonfiction author, national columnist, television personality, child and family therapist, dancer, playwright and co-producer partnered with Nelson Landrieu, veteran award winning television, stage and film actor and Executive Director of Teatro LATEA for this production.
"Art is a unifying force, my overarching goal with this production is not only the play's quality and message, but the show's vast ethnic and cultural diversity, said Nelson Landrieu, who also lends his talent to the stellar cast as Mr. Muro, the wise veteran studio instructor.

World-renowned tango dancer Esteban Domenichini, is featured in the lead role of Paul, the immigrant dancer, star student in Muro's dance studio, Esteban is considered one of the best tango dancers in his native Argentina and is in the USA for this performance, He is best known for his role in Tanguera, whose world tour took him to London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Germany, Miami and New York to sold out audiences.
