TrancenDanceGroup Presents UNVEILED SOULS, 11/10 & 11

Launched in April 2010, TrancenDanceGroup was founded with the goal of sharing the beauty and transformative power within movement - movement in constant transformation. Comprising a unique blend of ballet, contemporary and world dance styles, the company's focus is on dance as a vehicle for self-awareness, self-knowledge and empowerment.

Since its founding, the company has performed at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, and the Gibney Dance Center in New York City, New Jerseys Basking Ridge Performing Arts Center, and at various galas and festivals, including Brooklyn Hospital's 2011 Gala, Hispanic Heritage Celebration Brooklyn 2011, and the 2011Youth Dance Festival.

In addition to public performances, the company is currently developing specially created education programs for youth and children to introduce dance to those who might otherwise not have access to the art form.

TrancenDanceGroup was founded by choreographer and company Director Gabriel Chajnik, a former principal dancer of the David Taylor Dance Theater and former member of the American Repertory Ballet, who studied at The Juilliard School under Hector Zaraspe.

In addition to the leadership and vision of Mr. Chajnik, TrancenDanceGroup also benefits from the mentorship of Hector Zaraspe, internationally renowned dance choreographer, ballet master, and artistic director, who served as a faculty member of The Juilliard School for 37 years, and who is also known for his work as the choreographer and director of Tango Passion, and as Rudolf Nureyev's and Margot Fonteyn's private teacher.
